na'ima aria vanderbilt. name , na'ima aria van buren. nicknames , nai, n. i grew up in , zwelitsha, south africa. my birthday is , october fourth. and that makes me , twenty. my relationship status , engaged.
mother , abigail carver, teacher. father , daniel vanderbilt, journalist. siblings , none. other important family , kelia carver, aunt.
my first kiss , my best friends brother. my first time , also my best friends brother, it was nice, a little awkward of course, but nice. last person in my bed , gabriel. the last person i said i love you to was , gabriel. love is , knowing that no matter what, on your darkest days, despite whatever has happened you have that one person there for you.
my biggest fear is , i'm slightly claustephobic. my most embarassing moment was , my best friend's brother lockd me in a closet at our school when were in primary and i got so scared when they let me out i was a mess, just crying and shaking and everyone saw it was terrible. the last rumour that went around about me was , there were so many stories about why i was in the hospital a couple months ago, people still think i'm lying about the miscarriage they're all like, "she collapsed because she hadn't been eating." "she tried to kill herself, i saw them taking her from the apartment there was a lot of blood." it's so silly. my biggest insecurity , too many, way too many. my biggest secret , i don't like secrets, i avoid having any.
if you could be anyone for one day who would it be ? kate middleton. who would you want to play you in a movie ? that is a very good question.. and something i've never considered. where do you see yourself in five years ? gabe and i will be married, maybe we'll have a child, i don't know. you're stuck on a deserted island and you're allowed to bring one person, one book and one other random object - name 'em . nya, belle du jour, a cell phone.
tell me your story . i was born in south africe and i lived there up until i was seventeen. i had a pretty average childhood, my dad wasn't around for most of it, he always found some project to be gone on, honestly him and my mother neve should have gotten married. it was a shotgun wedding, his family was in south africa for the summer, my mother was in cape town working at one of the resorts and they met that way, dated all the summer and she found out she was pregnant. i guess his parents and my grandmother decided that they should get married but i'm pretty sure it was mostly my grandmother, you don't say no to my grandmother, at all. *laughs* uhm, really he wasn't a very good father, monetarily he provided for us, but further then that? not so much. my mom did tell me when i ran away that he did track me down, didn't bother to bring me home because she said that he thought i was safe. so, i don't know, i guess it means he cares? but it would've been nice for him to come see me when i was in new york rather then just slink around. i moved to seattle a few weeks after my eighteenth birthday, roomed with some of the girls in my agency and then moved in with my best friend. then we started dating, got engaged and.. things are... things alright. i'm happy. _________________________________
